This year's Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asian Casino Trade Fair and Conference in Macau, Venice, June 4-6, will feature Udorn Olson, an adviser to Thai lawmakers on casino legalization, as a speaker.
Alejandro Tengco, chairman and chief executive of Philippine casino regulator Pagcor, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker for the final day of G2E Asia, according to a schedule available online as of Monday.
Mr. Tengco has been in the news a lot since taking over as Pagco's leader. When Pagco reported its own first-quarter earnings on Sunday, the CEO was quoted as saying that the country's eGames division "will be the primary source of gaming revenue this year and in the years to come as innovation and technology integration enable us to bring more interest and convenience to gamers."
The appearance of Mr. Olson in G2E Asia this year also made headlines. In late March, Thai lawmakers supported a study recommending that Thailand allow casinos in its proposed large-scale entertainment complexes.
At this G2E Asia, Frederick Gushin, managing director and CEO of Spectrum Gaming Group, will hold a session called "Spotlight on Thailand and Middle East" on the first day of the event to discuss the potentially emerging casino market.
G2E Asia was previously organized by RX and the American Game Association, known as the Lead Exhibition.
Other speakers announced Monday for G2E Asia include Bloomberg Intelligence's Asia-Pacific gaming and leisure analyst Angela Hanlee, UBS AG's deputy director of research, Angus Chan, adviser to Cambodia's Commercial Gambling Commission Daniel Li and Evan Spytma, chief executive of Hotel Stotsenberg in Clark, Philippines.
The list of G2E Asian speakers also includes Paul Bromberg, senior vice president of research at Spectrum Gaming Group, Praven Choudhary, managing director of Morgan Stanley Asia Ltd, and Vitaly Umansky, senior research analyst for gaming at Seaport Research Partners.
Choudhary's session, which will take place on June 4, is called the 'Asian Game Market Outlook.' A panel called Emerging Market Talk, which will take place in the same afternoon, will be attended by Ms Hanlee from Bloomberg, Mr Chan and Daniel Li from UBS, and Mr Spytma from Hotel Stotsenberg.
On the second day of the nearly two-hour conference, the "3rd Asia-Pacific Responsible Games Forum" will be held.
The panel includes Zeng Zhonglu, president of the Asia-Pacific Gambling Research Association, Liu Gang, a professor at Shanghai Normal University, Liu Dayyang, an honorary professor at Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and Su Guojing, a professor at the Asian Responsible Gaming Alliance.
For the G2E Asia trade show, the exhibitor segment is gaming equipment, slot machines, video game machines, table games and accessories, parts for machines, game development, game platform, sports betting, compliance, and industry con
